Can my ex wife sell the home she got in our divorce without my signature?
My ex wife got the house in our divorce. Our property settlement did not require her to refinance or take my name off the mortgage. I offered to have her refinance the home at my expense just to get my name off the mortgage. She refused. Why? I want to know if she can sell the house without my signature?
You may have signed a Quitclaim deed when you signed off on the divorce settlement. If your name is still on the deed, she will need your signature.
