I have an insecure jealous girlfriend. What should I do?
We have been dating for about year and 2 months. We just got an apartment 3 weeks ago and since then the arugements only get worest. I love her alot and I dont cheat on her, when ever I go out I always ask her to come. Then she gets mad when I want to go out instead of staying at home. If I stay at home for 5 days and go out on the weekends she trys to say that I go out to much. Other problem I have is that she pays for just about everything because she got a settlement because her uncles wrongful death. I am not with her because of the money but I think she feels like she has power because she has the money. Sometimes I feel like a she wants me to be the dog that only goes to work and do things only on her time. If i talk to a girl i get the 20 questions about her. I am not sure what I should do move on or work this thing out????
When people are insecure, it has nothing to do with the people around them and everything to do with themselves. There is nothing you can say or do that will make her be confident and secure with herself. She needs counseling. As for the money, it sounds like she’s using it to obligate you to her because she doesn’t feel there is anything else about herself that would keep you around.
If I were you, I’d urge her to spend some of that money on counseling for herself (not relationship counseling, because the problem is with HER) and if she refused to, I’d have to leave.
